Roadshow on the Mayor's new Transport Strategy and abolition of western Congestion Charge

06 November 2009

COME AND HAVE YOUR SAY ON TRANSPORT IN LONDON

Residents of Kensington and Chelsea can let the Mayor of London know what they think about his plans to abolish the Western Extension of the Congestion Charge and find out more about a variety of other projects, including Crossrail and Crossrail 2 (the Chelsea-Hackney Line) at a road show on Friday 6 November in Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street W8.

Staff from Transport for London (TfL) will be in the Customer Service Centre between 8.30am and 5pm offering residents the chance to find out more about the Mayor’s Transport Strategy and give their views. The road show is part of a London-wide consultation which runs until Tuesday 12 January to find out what Londoners think of the Mayor’s Transport Strategy.

Councillor Nicholas Paget-Brown, Cabinet Member for Transportation, said: “This is an ideal opportunity for residents to come to the Town Hall to find out more about the Mayor’s plans and to have a say in what is going to happen in the borough and London in general.”

If you cannot attend the road show you can get more information online at www.london.gov.uk/shaping-london/
