Earl's Court

Local Conservatives have selected Malcolm Spalding as their candidate for the forthcoming Council By-Election.

As a resident of Philbeach Gardens, Malcolm has lived and worked in Earl’s Court for over 30 years. He can truly be said to live, work and breathe Earl’s Court. He is the Principal of the Local Further Education College in Penywern Road and a leading figure in many Local Resident Associations and business organisations in Earl’s Court. He has a track record of community activism: - fundraising for the local CCTV system, organising sponsorship of flower baskets, promoting the upgrading of local hotels, and helping to establish the Earl’s Court Society. He will bring a passion and an unrivalled in-depth knowledge and experience of the issues affecting Earl’s Court.

Malcolm says “Earl’s Court has been my home for 30 years, it has always been one of the most desirable and vibrant places to live in The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. I want to work, if elected as Conservative Councillor, with my colleagues Terence Buxton and Jonathon Read to seek further improvements to Earl’s Court so that it continues to be a unique and wonderful place to live and work.”

Malcolm is not just local, but as Vice Chairman of the Kensington & Chelsea Strategic Partnership, he has wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. He will hit the ground running.
